Hi,

did you already try the same procedure for cd_sfw_1_of_2 ?
You don't actually need the so called Install CD.
Booting from cd_sfw_1_of_2 will start SunInstall instead of WebStartInstall.

What guest display drviver/settings did you use in kdmconfig.
You have several possible options:
Sun_CirrusLogic_544x
SunVESA
XF86_CirrusLogic (doesn't work for me [Sol9_04/04 gues on Sol10_60 and 
Sol9_04/04 hosts)
XF86_VESA.

What is your hosts display setting?
