Subject: Adaptec 1205SA : does it work properly?

I'm looking to upgrade my home server, and the only SATA card I an source locally
is the Adaptec 1205SA. Is it working properly in Linux? The only reference I
could find was a note in ~Sep 2003 that it still had a few issues, but then nothing.
