Subject: so - is this the forum where udev is developed?
Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2004 04:07:41 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <41BE670D.2090805@perkel.com> (raw)

ok - I just upgraded my server from FC2 to FC3 and I'm having a LOT of
trouble with udev. What's happening is - /dev/null and may other devices
are all coming up with permissions of 600 making /dev/null not
accessable exceot by root.

I do have a custom kernel - the fedora kernel has problems - and - it's
doing the same thing as my custom kernel.

I compiled it with devfs off and hptplug on.

I upgraded from FC2 to FC3 usinh YUM.

Also - except for root - screen doesn't work - again it's the permissions.

So - what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.
