First make sure the partition you use really
exceeds 2Gb. If not - skip the tests.
Create an empty file of, say, 100Mb (with dd
from /dev/zero for example). Create the FS on
it (with mke2fs for example). Mount it as a loop
device. lredir to it and copy your DOS stuff
there. See if it works.
(no, don't use mkfatimage16 instead of the
loop-mount - mkfatimage16's image access will
most likely solve your problems, but as a test
it would be completely useless).
