Subject: [U-Boot-Users] jffs2 fs for linux

Message-ID: <421F36D0.4060703@iskramedical.si> (raw)
Hi,
(I apologize if the list recieves this(similar) mail twice)
I have jffs2 fs image in flash and would like to mount it when linux
asks for root fs.Linux gives out:
...
Root-NFS: No NFS server available, giving up.
VFS: Unable to mount root fs via NFS, trying floppy.
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-block(2,0)
<0>Rebooting in 5 seconds..?
and command line is:
Kernel command line: root=/dev/mtdblock2 rootfstype=jffs2 rw
console=ttyS0,115200 mem=64M panic=5
Image is located at 0x2c0000 and u-boot can see it, too:
Ub00t> ls
Scanning JFFS2 FS: ...... done.

But how do I supply this info to u-boot when booting linux?
Is 'fsload' the right way to go? But I would still like to have kernel
separated from fs image...
Using kernel 2.6.9 here.
regards,
hk
