Subject: [U-Boot-Users] S29GLxxxM Flash write buffer programming

Message-ID: <42566018.3020904@MAZeT.de> (raw)

Hi all,

I am using Spansion S29GL128M / AMD Am29LV128M flash in 8-Bit mode on
our Board. Older Versions of this Flash supported a "Byte Program" mode
to write a single byte into flash. Newer versions don't support this
command. According to Datasheet you should use "Write Buffer
Programming" in X8 (8-Bit) mode.
My question is, if anyone has experience in using this Flash in X8 mode
with U-Boot and/or Linux?

Thanks Sebastian
