In the alsa-driver tree:
find . -iname "version.h"
./alsa-kernel/include/version.h
./include/version.h
They both contain:
/* include/version.h. Generated by configure. */
#define CONFIG_SND_VERSION "1.0.9b"
#define CONFIG_SND_DATE ""
See attached /usr/include/linux/version.h
They all look fine to me.
