Subject: Re: dm-multipath: kernel paniced when I pull out one HBA card
Date: Fri, 30 Dec 2005 18:09:38 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <43B569D2.4050006@theorematica.it> (raw)

Similar issue here:

kernel-2.6.14.2
device-mapper-1.01.03
multipath-tools-0.4.6
udev-0.70

when I pull out the hba ant the I plug in again I have the following:

Dec 17 10:37:52 nodob scsi.agent[18776]: Attribute
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:
00:06.0/0000:08:00.2/0000:0a:02.0/host1/rport-1:0-0/target1:0:0/1:0:0:0/type

s not exist
Dec 17 10:37:55 nodob scsi_id[8454]: 1:0:0:0: cannot get vendor attribute
Dec 17 10:43:21 nodob scsi_id[31683]: 1:0:0:0: cannot get vendor attribute
Dec 17 10:43:36 nodob scsi_id[28354]: 1:0:0:0: cannot get vendor attribute

the kernel does not panic but the path isn't registered

If i reboot with kernel 2.6.13 all works fine

regards
Nicola
