I've been working with the xenoprof patches from
http://xenoprof.sourceforge.net/ but I've recently seen references to
profiling support in the testing tree. What is the status of the
internal Xen profiling code and which one should I be using?

David,
Xenprof code (Xen and linux components) is now included in the
xen-unstable tree, not testing tree. If you download the latest unstable
you do not need the patches in http://xenoprof.sourceforge.net/ anymore
(except for the patch for user level oprofile tools).
