Also got, at least once, this kernel message:

  rip ide_dma_start+0x28/0x34 [ide_core]

and, on every boot (expected?):

  floppy interrupt on bizarre fdc 1

I forgot to mention that the guest kernel is
the Debian pre-packaged 2.6.16-2-amd64-k8;
I had similar issues using
linux-image-2.6.16-2-amd64-generic.
