My diNovo has the same problem, but I didn't originally run the keyboard
on Linux, I had it on Windows until one morning it was dead. Nothing
worked and nothing I did could reactivate the bluetooth hub.
Moving it to Linux and it worked in HID mode, but the bluetooth side of
the dongle is dead in the way you describe.
I suggest you test if the dongle is working by using it on a Windows
machine. If it's as dead as mine, perhaps it's time to have a warrenty
talk with Logitech.
