Subject: VIA VT6421A SATA controller
Date: Fri, 12 Jan 2007 10:33:07 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <45A763E3.4080407@gregfarrell.org> (raw)

Hi Jeff,

   I'm looking at getting a motherboard with a VT6421A controller.
It'll be used in Linux and I can't find any mention on-line of anybody
using a VT6421A (not just a VT6421) with Linux.

  The sata_via.c module looks like the place it'd be supported if it
was but there's no mention. Do you know if I can use this chipset
in Linux or if I should avoid it?

thank you very much,

     Greg
