Subject: What's the status of hotplugging a disc on a Promise TX4-controller
Date: Thu, 08 Feb 2007 14:36:10 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <45CB274A.7050505@citd.de> (raw)

Hi

In two computer i have an onboard AHCI controller and hotplugging works like a charm. (The few times i actually tried that)

In another computer i have 2 Promise TX4 controllers and i couldn't find the information if 2.6.20 finally brought hotplug support for the TX4.
At least the 2,8MB "Changelog" didn't give any satisfying answers.

Real Programmers consider "what you see is what you get" to be just as
bad a concept in Text Editors as it is in women. No, the Real Programmer
wants a "you asked for it, you got it" text editor -- complicated,
cryptic, powerful, unforgiving, dangerous.
