Okay, this is 2.4 in the FAQ:
2.4. I get "rtc interrupts lost" messages, and the guest is very slow?
Try setting CONFIG_HPET_EMULATE_RTC=y in your host .config.
Perhaps your config is in /boot (as Fedora does). If not perhaps some
Ubuntu maintainer can comment?
