Subject: VIA 65GHz bug again
Date: Tue, 08 May 2007 21:12:18 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <4640CB92.1050604@interia.pl> (raw)
Hi!
I've asked user to open bug, but user didn't do it. It isn't
Linux nor acpi-cpufreq bug. Once again it is VIA's "65GHz in P-states
table" bug. In this case - C7-D 1,5GHz which does NOT have Enhanced
Powersaver and Linux 2.6.21 - 65GHz is only one available frequency.
After acpi-cpufreq is loaded /proc/cpuinfo is claiming that processor
is running at 65GHz. But because acpi-cpufreq is loading user thinks
that his processor is supporting frequency changes and it is Linux
fault.
Regards
Rafał
