Holger,

I really don't know much about the driver itself, as I don't own such a
card and I never used the driver.
I do know that the builder got it working on a kernel 2.6.18 (he didn't
try anything newer).
I also have no idea what agere driver version is the basis for his package.

I guess the best way to get more answers is to send an e-mail to the
address mentioned in my previous message.
