It's prevalent among Freescale 8xxx-based boards, which is good enough for me. Since I'm
not familiar with the other architectures, I can only use quirks in the 8xxx code as a
basis for anything. And that's why I post questions like this to the mailing list, so
that I can see if anyone with more experience can shed some light. Unfortunately, I
occasionally get flamed for it.
