Hi,
on the Desktop Architects Meeting 4 on the Linux Foundation Summit in
Mountain View there will be scheduled a breakout session for printing,
during the breakout time on Thursday, 2:45pm - 4:30pm.
On the preparation phone conference for the OpenPrinting Meeting on
Friday we also talked about this breakout session and came to the
following suggested agenda items:
- Desktop architects and LSB developers, especially if they will not
join the OpenPrinting Meeting on Friday can discuss printing subjects
with us, make suggestions, and leave us with more subjects and ideas
to talk about on Friday.
- Discussion of desktop-related printing subjects, especially if desired
by participants not being able to join the appropriate sessions on the
OpenPrinting Meeting on Friday:
o Distribution-independent printer driver packages and auto-download
and installation of these packages by printer setup tools.
o Printing dialog and GUI as worked on on the OpenPrinting
Usability/GUI Meeting on the LinuxTag in Berlin.
o Implementation of printing-related projects. See
http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/Implementation
o Other printing-related subjects which emerged from Desktop
Architects Meeting
- Your suggestions welcome. Post them here on the list.
Everyone is invited to join. See you in mOuntain View.
