1. Is this driver has been shipped with some linux distributions?
2. Is there a stable release of this driver? I mean the current status of this driver.

There is no 'stable' version and the current status is, the driver
is under heavy development.

Yep, any distribution that carries kernel 2.6.27 or above will carry ath9k.
