This need you have to always hang personal issues off of large communities 
just has to be indicative of some serious inferiority complex issues...

But yes, releases have been slow in the coming. Do distributions regularly 
ship ALSA -rc releases by the way? There hasn't even been a 1.0.15-rc1 yet, 
so if not, they'd be waiting for quite a bit yet as ALSA goes through the 
15-rc stage.

Jaroslav -- given that there's a somewhat serious need, how about making 
1.0.15 a fast(er) point release? That is, 1.0.15-rc1 right about now and if 
nothing serious turns up in two weeks time or so, 1.0.15? Can't say I'm 
aware of how widely/quickly ALSA -rc's are being tested, so don't know if 
two weeks are enough...
