Philippe explained this before: Technical changes between 2.6.20 and .22, namely the introduction of hrtimers/tick-less mode in 2.6.21, required significant changes to the Xenomai timer subsystem. Luckily, those changes were developed for 2.4 already so that adopting latest kernel version was feasible for trunk. Now porting those changes back to the 2.3 series would simply pervert the idea of a stable maintenance series! BTW, 2.6.22 + xeno 2.4 is currently causing some headaches, at least to me. So if you want to move forward with your platform to kernel 2.6.22 and later, you are welcome to help us testing and maturing the latest version. Keep in mind, resources - specifically unpaid ones - are finite. Jan
