I have the following grub.cfg : # # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE # # It is automaticaly generated by ././update-grub using templates # from /usr/local/etc/grub.d and settings from /usr/local/etc/default/grub # ### BEGIN /usr/local/etc/grub.d/00_header ### set default=0 set timeout=5 set root=(hd0,1) terminal console ### END /usr/local/etc/grub.d/00_header ### ### BEGIN /usr/local/etc/grub.d/10_hurd ### ### END /usr/local/etc/grub.d/10_hurd ### ### BEGIN /usr/local/etc/grub.d/10_linux ### menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-14-generic" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-14-generic } menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-14-generic (single-user mode)" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-14-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro single initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-14-generic } menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-13-generic" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-13-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-13-generic } menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-13-generic (single-user mode)" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-13-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro single initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-13-generic } menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-12-generic" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-12-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-12-generic } menuentry " GNU/Linux, linux 2.6.22-12-generic (single-user mode)" { linux (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.22-12-generic root=/dev/sda1 ro single initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd.img-2.6.22-12-generic } ### END /usr/local/etc/grub.d/10_linux ### If I remove grub.cfg and I enter the commands manual then I can boot. The Problem is in line 12 of grub.cfg which is automatically generated. The commands terminal console seem not to be implemented yet. or does my script is missing a required module ? regards
