Subject: [Adeos-main] Downloading PPC/PowerPC kernel from DENX Git repository
Date: Thu, 03 Jan 2008 08:13:03 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <477C8AFF.5070701@domain.hid> (raw)

Hello,

I am planning to use the Adeos patch file
2.6.23-powerpc-DENX-2.0-07.patch or 2.6.23-powerpc-DENX-2.0-07.patch. In
a message posted by Philippe Gerum on November 17, 2007 on the
Adeos-main mailing list a reference is made to a certain snapshot for
version DENX-2.0-03 patch file. Can you tell me to which snapshot
version the 2.0-07 patch applies? Also, what would be the exact command
to use to download this snapshot, as I am no expert on Git.

Also, what are the differences between the standard 2.6.23 kernel and
the DENX-version? Until now I am using the plain kernels from
kernel.org, and I would like to know what the advantage would be of
using the DENX version.

Kind regards,
 Johan Borkhuis
