Maybe we should update our TROUBLESHOOTING guide and FAQ: there is a new option that should be avoided IMO: CONFIG_CPU_IDLE. And by the way, configuring the kernel without CONFIG_ACPI is not a good idea. The only dangerous option in ACPI is CONFIG_ACPI_PROCESSOR. -- Gilles.
