Subject: 2.6.27 ASPM: Pre-1.1 PCIe device detected - RS780 PCI to PCI bridge?
Date: Sun, 12 Oct 2008 19:46:49 +0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <48F21BE9.8010405@msgid.tls.msk.ru> (raw)

Just tried shiny-new 2.6.27 kernel on this my system,
with compiled-in ASPM support. And become curious by
this message during bootup:

Pre-1.1 PCIe device detected, disable ASPM for 0000:00:06.0. It can be enabled forcedly with 'pcie_aspm=force'
PCI: bridge 0000:00:06.0 32bit mmio: [fea00000, feafffff]

Here's the device in question:

00:06.0 PCI bridge: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] RS780 PCI to PCI bridge (PCIE port 2)

Should I be concerned by this presence of "Pre-1.1 PCIe device"?
Which should not be Pre-1.1, I think...

And here's the system specs:
