Subject: [ath9k-devel] connection keeps dropping: AR928X, 2.6.27.4
Date: Thu, 13 Nov 2008 14:39:57 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <491C2E2D.6050006@iugrina.com> (raw)
Hi,
I have Asus x51l with Atheros AR928X chip inside and
I've compiled vanilla-kernel 2.6.27.4 to enable support
for this chip.
And here comes the problem:
my connection keeps dropping off every few minutes.
sometimes it works fine for few hours and then starts
dropping off. It's the same with WEP and WPA.
Also, sometimes I lose connection completely and I am
not even able to do "iwlist scan". The only thing that
helps is "modprobe -r ath9k && modprobe ath9k".
So, I believe it's ath9k error.
Here's some tech info:
I use Gentoo, vanilla kernel 2.6.27.4.
For WEP I use iwconfig and for WPA wpa_supplicant.
