I just got a repro on 2.6.27.11 with compat-wireless-2008-12-31. it appears to occur when i bring down the interface, rmmod ath9k, and then modprobe ath9k while I am trying to rsync from or to the box. I bounce the interface like this often when I lose transmission for several seconds at a time. most of the time it recovers ok, but sometimes it doesn't. i'll try git tip on monday. Thanks!
