Bergström based on my mails and subsequently modified by me. Don't consider it to be absolut reference. However BTRFS is problematic. AFAIR on-disk format isn't finalized yet. So code written now may be broken in the future. It means that probably main reference for it is its code. But AFAIR it's under GPLv2. So you can't use this code to do the same in grub. Even looking at that code isn't advised.
