Hi.

Could you help me to find any DVB-T dual input/tuner card that work
with Linux without problems?
I need to record two programs in the same time with MythTV..

Thank you very much!
Bye.

WinNova Hauppage
You could have either PCI or USB version.

Work relatively well - open source drivers are easy to fix in case of problems.

I've had a Nova-T 500 for the past 2 years.

Driver support was close to nil initially, but now it is very solid.

I'm very happy with it.

Thank you for your answer.
I'm looking for this model on the Hauppauge website, but I only found
many models of the "WinTV Nova" type.
Could you help me please?

Look at this page:
http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_Devices
There you can see all the models working or almost working, it's your
best startingpoint concerning hardware that works...

Yes - this I've meant for PCI version - it is actually USB card on
PCI device - thus you should be aware you need motherboard that
handles USB2.0 - but I assume that you do no try to use this on some
ancient USB1.1 board.

Look with USB stick discussion from this week for dual USB version.

I'll second that with one proviso; it is essential to turn the LNA (Low
Noise Amplifier) on. See this thread:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/402992

A system shutdown and cold restart seems to be essential to reset the card.

Other than that, it's an excellent choice, imo.

I don't think the Nova-T 500 Dual DVB-T is restricted only to
motherboards with USB2.0
I believe the USB2.0 controllers are integrated on the PCI card and it
should still work on a board with USB1.1

I have also been using a Nova-T 500 PCI card for about 18 months and have
been very happy with it. Works fine out of the box with recent Ubunutu
versions (8.10 and up is my memory).

Do turn on the LNA, and if you're in Australia, enable the work around for
ABC/SBS problems. See bottom of the wiki for details.

any card would do it. I'm using a program called getstream.
It demultiplexes a stream so you can record it with a program like mencoder.
