"Paxos Made Simple" (Lamport 2001)
"The Paxos Register" (Li, Clement, Aiyer, Alvisi 2007)
"Paxos Made Live" (Chandra, Griesemer, Redstone 2007)
"Omega Meets Paxos: Leader Election and Stability[...]" (Malkhi, Oprea,
Zhou 2005)
Leslie Lamport (Mr. Paxos) also has a paper on transactional paxos out
there.
