If you are using Ubuntu David, you can get the mmio trace without
recompiling the kernel.
Just do

cat /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/trace_pipe > /tmp/dump.txt &

echo "Modprobe start" > /sys/kernel/debug/tracing/trace_marker
modprobe ndiswrapper
