Subject: where to report this bug?
Date: Sat, 26 Nov 2011 13:50:28 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4ED0E094.7080101@becherer.de> (raw)

Hi there,
i use qemu-kvm for production purpose and
run into a bug when i try to connect over vnc.

i did not know how or where to report this bug, so please
could anybody tell me how to do?
or maybe this bug is already known?

here i try to give information:

kvm crahshes immidiatly when trying to connect over vnc:
kommand line for vnc : vncviewer xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1

qemu-kvm console output:
qemu-kvm: malloc.c:3091: sYSMALLOc: Assertion `(old_top == (((mbinptr)
(((char *) &((av)->bins[((1) - 1) * 2])) - __builtin_offsetof (struct
malloc_chunk, fd)))) && old_size == 0) || ((unsigned long) (old_size) >=
(unsigned long)((((__builtin_offsetof (struct malloc_chunk,
fd_nextsize))+((2 * (sizeof(size_t))) - 1)) & ~((2 * (sizeof(size_t))) -
1))) && ((old_top)->size & 0x1) && ((unsigned long)old_end & pagemask)
== 0)' failed.

my qemu-kvm-line (inside a batch file):
qemu-kvm -enable-kvm -hda /archiv/kvm-images/win_xp_prof-wincam.img -vnc
:1 -cdrom
/archiv/kvm-images/leere-images/winplasma_cad_cam_5p08_28_01_2003.iso
-no-reboot -usb -usbdevice tablet -usbdevice host:07f2:0001 -parallel
/dev/parport0 -localtime -net nic,macaddr=52-54-00-12-36-58,model=e1000
-net tap,ifname=$tap,downscript=no -m 768 -cpu host -vga std -k de
-monitor stdio

without "-vnc :1" it wil run fine.

guest os is 32bit windows xp-prof. sp3

guest os run on 1400x1050 screen size. color 16bit

when run guest os on 1600x1200 color 32bit there is NO crash, vnc
connection works.

host system:
openSUSE 11.4 (x86_64)
linux 2.6.37.6-0.9-desktop x86_64
kde 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6"
AMD Phenom(tm) 9750 Quad-Core Processor
2,400.47 MHZ
cors: 4
memory: 7.8 GiB
graphic:
ATI Technologies Inc
ATI Radeon HD3870

kvm version:
0.15.1-125.3-x86_64 from open suse build service "virtualization"

with the -no-kvm (and therefore without the "-cpu host") switch it
crashed also.

regards,

simoN
