It does, and the RX/TX counters do increase.

OK, I think I understand the situation now. I'm looking for a suitable
data plan. I'm considering something like this:

They are expensive, but for validating hardware, they are probably less
expensive than the $25 I drop every 3 months for a Go Phone WAP SIM!
