Hi, When I plug my USB IR receiver (MCE) in, I get the error and trace messages hereby attached. It doesn't freeze the system but when I try to boot the machine with the USB receiver plugged in, it actually prevents the system to boot entirely. I've configured a 2.6.39.4 kernel with those drivers built-in, CONFIG_RC_MAP=y CONFIG_IR_RC6_DECODER CONFIG_IR_MCEUSB=y I'm basically using the default configuration + EXT4 + BRIDGE + NTFS + NFSD + FUSE + DRM_RADEON & firmware, nothing funky (and cpu family opteron). Here's the error I got in brief (from dmesg), mceusb 3-2:1.0: usb_probe_interface mceusb 3-2:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id Registered IR keymap rc-rc6-mce input: Media Center Ed. eHome Infrared Remote Transceiver (0471:2088) as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.0/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/rc/rc0/input4 rc0: Media Center Ed. eHome Infrared Remote Transceiver (0471:2088) as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.0/usb3/3-2/3-2:1.0/rc/rc0 BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000002 IP: [] mce_request_packet+0x6d/0x11f *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP last sysfs file: /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.0/usb3/3-2/manufacturer Modules linked in: Pid: 436, comm: khubd Not tainted 2.6.39.4 #4 System manufacturer System Product Name/M5A78L-M/USB3 EIP: 0060:[] EFLAGS: 00010286 CPU: 1 EIP is at mce_request_packet+0x6d/0x11f ...
