Summary: Onboard Soundcard (STAC9221) records only noise
Description:
I am using a Intel 945GCZ board with an integrated Sigmatel STAC9221
soundcard.
When I try to record sound from my microphone I only get noise (and if I
listen very closely there is my voice very quiet in the background).
I have tried to set the amplification to maxium which gives me loud noise
but does not make my voice sound any better :-/
(Recording works well with WinXP)

yes, I just downloaded and compiled the cvs version and the problem
persists.
In order to hear anything I put Capture to 100% and use the maximum level
of amplification. My voice is very distant and hardly louder than the
background noise.
Is there any more information that I can provide?

Oh, it seems that I did not use the search very well, (didnt know what to
search for either)
Bugs 1927 1951 1847 1826 1723 1643 seem to describe the same problem as I
do.
Apparently it's not only the microphone but also the line in that is not
working correctly!
