Subject: man-pages bug report: (7) capabilities
Date: Mon, 19 Nov 2012 15:55:08 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <50AA484C.7040104@uni-ulm.de> (raw)

Hello,

I was reading the man page for capabilities and I found a broken URL on
this page.
The same broken URL is used on the man7 webpage, under 'Conforming to':

Which does not exist (nor does wt.xpilot.org) and should in fact
(presumably) refer to:
http://wt.tuxomania.net/publications/posix.1e/

I am using Version: 3.35-0.1ubuntu1, which at the end of the man page
notes it is part of the 3.44 release.
While I imagine the normal procedure would be to contact the maintainers
of that package, as noted, the version running on the man7.org webpage
(which I assume is the latest stable release) also has the issue.

This is tested on Ubuntu 12.04 and man7.org.

Note; this is my first bug report, and I apologize in advance for any
errors I made.

Thank you for providing excellent documentation!
Greetings,
Rens van der Heijden
