Julien: When pinging a patch series, please make sure it actually still
applies. This needed to be rebased both onto the target_phys_addr_t ->
hwaddr change and onto the serial file split and cirrus-vga didn't apply
cleanly. Fixed that myself now.

I also massaged the commit messages a bit; if a native English speaker
wants to take a second look that would be appreciated (AFAIK "replaced
by Julien with Memory API").

Note that there are still some register_ioport_*() usages left:
$ git grep register_ioport -- hw/ | grep -v isa_register_ioport | wc --lines
32
