Subject: [Qemu-devel] Audio errors without setting "-soundhw"
Date: Wed, 12 Dec 2012 10:40:55 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <50C84317.6060809@intel.com> (raw)
Hello qemu-devel,
I've been trying to run an arm image with these parameters :
sudo
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/sysroots/x86_64-linux/usr/bin/qemu-system-arm
-kernel
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/zImage-qemuarm.bin
-net nic,vlan=0 -net tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap0,script=no,downscript=no -M
versatilepb -hda
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/core-image-sato-qemuarm.ext3
-no-reboot -show-cursor -usb -usbdevice wacom-tablet -no-reboot -m 128
--append "root=/dev/sda rw console=ttyAMA0,115200 console=tty
ip=192.168.7.2::192.168.7.1:255.255.255.0 mem=128M highres=off "
and i keep getting these errors :
oss: Could not initialize DAC
oss: Failed to open `/dev/dsp'
oss: Reason: No such file or directory
oss: Could not initialize DAC
oss: Failed to open `/dev/dsp'
oss: Reason: No such file or directory
audio: Failed to create voice `lm4549.out'
behavior which is not normal without setting the "-soundhw all" parameter.
When running a qemu-system-i386 image with these parameters :
sudo
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/sysroots/x86_64-linux/usr/bin/qemu-system-i386
-kernel
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/bzImage-qemux86.bin
-net nic,vlan=0 -net tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap0,script=no,downscript=no -hda
/home/adinu/work/poky4/poky/build/tmp/deploy/images/core-image-sato-qemux86.ext3
-show-cursor -usb -usbdevice wacom-tablet -vga vmware -no-reboot -m 128
--append "vga=0 root=/dev/hda rw mem=128M
ip=192.168.7.2::192.168.7.1:255.255.255.0 oprofile.timer=1 "
i get no errrors. I get them only when i add the "-soundhw all"
parameter, which is a normal behavior.
Does anyone know why the errors keep coming up at the arm build without
setting the sound parameter? Do i have to unset some default variable?
I am using :
3.2.0-33-generic #52-Ubuntu SMP Thu Oct 18 16:29:15 UTC 2012 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Thank you,
Andrei Dinu
