Subject: [ath9k-devel] Bug on ath9k_htc
Date: Wed, 03 Apr 2013 16:46:40 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <515C9530.4010605@fsf.org> (raw)
Hi,
I got
[ 646.367797] ath9k_htc 1-5:1.0: ath9k_htc: FW Version: 1.4
[ 646.367807] ath9k_htc 1-5:1.0: ath9k_htc: Please upgrade to FW version 1.3
on a 3.8.5 kernel installed from:
http://linux-libre.fsfla.org/pub/linux-libre/freesh/pool/main/l/linux-libre32-3.8/linux-libre32-3.8_3.8.5_i386.deb
when trying to upload the libre firmware from:
https://github.com/qca/open-ath9k-htc-firmware
the check should be changed on:
http://lxr.free-electrons.com/source/drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/htc_drv_init.c?v=3.4;a=arm#L773
Instead of a " != " should be something more intelligent
Since we have version 1.4 now:
https://github.com/qca/open-ath9k-htc-firmware/commit/4c9d9e854e0b2f59ca887bb083cc07d35a24693a
Thanks,
Nico
