Ganeti [1] is a mentoring organization in this year's Google Summer
of Code and one of the Ideas proposed is:

"Better support for RADOS/Ceph in Ganeti"

Currently, Ganeti supports VM disks inside RADOS natively, using
the rbd kernel driver and the rbd tools. The idea's primary target
is to also support the qemu-rbd driver, so that everything happens
on userspace.
