The Dell XPS 12, 2013 Haswell version, comes with both multitouch=20 touchscreen and touchpad, of which only the touchscreen functions=20 correctly. The touchpad is not correctly detected and acts like a=20 generic pointing device without any touchpad (multitouch, scrolling,=20 etc.) features. Below I've included environment and device information as well as Xorg=20 log, xinput list and dmesg output. The device named "DLL05E3:01 06CB:2734" is the touchpad. When i2c_hid module is blacklisted, the touchpad *does* work and is=20 detected by the psmouse module as a Synaptics touchpad. However, the=20 touchscreen needs the i2c_hid module. With i2c_hid module enabled, both touchpad and touchscreen are detected= =20 by i2c_hid, but maybe this causes a conflict and the psmouse module is=20 not able to detect the touchpad anymore.
