Subject: [U-Boot] upstream Arndale support

Message-ID: <529F148E.6020706@linaro.org> (raw)
Hi,
I cannot get upstream u-boot to run on an Arndale board. Everything
works when I use the Linaro branch. But this tree is old and carries a
whole different set of patches for Arndale.
Is the Arndale upstream support supposed to work? If yes, is there a
different recipe for populating the uSD card?
What works is the following:
$ git checkout linaro
$ make arndale5250_config && make -j arndale5250
$ dd if=/tmp/arndale-bl1.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=1
$ dd if=spl/smdk5250-spl.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=17
$ dd if=u-boot.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=49
Transferring this to upstream I get the following:
$ git checkout master
$ make arndale_config && make -j arndale
$ dd if=/tmp/arndale-bl1.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=1
$ dd if=spl/arndale-spl.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=17
$ dd if=u-boot.bin of=/dev/sdb seek=49
However while the Linaro based build works fine, I don't get any serial
output on the upstream build.
Can someone give any hints?
Thanks,
Andre.
