My setup: MacPro 1,1 Kernel 3.10.17 (gentoo sources) ALSA k3.10.17 Had to set /usr/bin/hda-verb /dev/snd/hwC0D0 0x18 SET_PIN_WIDGET_CONTROL 0xc1 to get the headphone out at the front working.
