FWIW, we updated seabios in Debian testing (with qemu 1.7), and
now there are several bugs filed in Debian BTS, at least:

http://bugs.debian.org/736902
(this last one is a bit messy, all branches/combinations produce
different results, and it isn't exactly stable).
I had not much time to dig into this.
