It appears to have been caused by an entry into the newest mesa recipe: https://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/poky/commit/?id=0bdf56fdcd15aa73b290742dd6e2b54b4af3196f The bbappend removes a header file that the new recipe looks for.
