It didn't work either. While earlier kernels made the screen completely useless with lots of jumbled colors, F20 would at least show the outlines of the desktops and menus with jumbled colors throughout the monitor. So whatever the bug, I think it is fairly safe to say it is also upstream in Fedora. Unless someone else has another idea, I might try pestering the Fedora guys.
