yes, with the older LTIB image everything works fine. We use the following 
kernel version for this image

Linux version 3.0.35-2026-geaaf30e (dev@ubuntu) (gcc version 4.6.2 20110630 
(prerelease) (Freescale MAD -- Linaro 2011.07 -- Built at 2011/08/10 09:20) )

the LVDS display is connected to LVDS0, and I use the same video option for the 
older LTIB image:

Kernel command line: console=ttymxc0,115200 root=/dev/mmcblk1p1 rootwait rw 
video=mxcfb0:dev=ldb,LDB-XGA,if=RGB666
