I would keep using pseries-2.0.
There might be some class hierarchy, like
spapr-machine
spapr-machine-2.2
spapr-machine-2.1
I don't know what Andreas had in mind though, but you can check out
Eduardo's patches for QOMifying the PC machines and take inspiration
from there. That's probably a safe bet.
