Are you using libvirt? If so, this question is better asked on libvirt-users@redhat.com; but the short answer is modify your domain XML to point to the backing file names, then reboot. If not, then modify your qemu command line to point to the backing files. --=20 Eric Blake eblake redhat com +1-919-301-3266 Libvirt virtualization library http://libvirt.org --KtbpMbhCNXTcloAMLKg87IVjEWOUOJxMd Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 Comment: Public key at http://people.redhat.com/eblake/eblake.gpg Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJTyEDNAAoJEKeha0olJ0NqcHMH/RU/OV7QHke9kfqGdqJMqdUM dNTQA1CpKyI2wN6jroPQbB7P5EL9QtRuAs379SFwFO0LiU6MT2j3CM8P1XKUbGAA 4I/KQvS47x/fH5Be0xyeDTSo5Ufhrh0oI1ZZJv5Hs/s6GQjFzXxY+2z7hbq9xn7P rYCZjXsFfdlvzErpTyZWjvSXbdP36mQMyWutK/e2IPoYocovotzltKmioO7G5PCP TAypyXzlCLIUFLeR7MZXJVjG8SdnRMxb2wvA02BHa194MaPKCkhqBZSbpKNHQAIa jIfbbLZb9c97Upm8FY1DTivicQqgFdFAGCZ3Hsww8QgovDWY+bLgbFlNmHcUoIM= =h0lZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --KtbpMbhCNXTcloAMLKg87IVjEWOUOJxMd--
