The change that was accepted by QEMU upstream depends on a big batch of other changes (commit c4f5cdc53f181f6fe84a0f1bf99914598934a8a6) So the backport to QEMU 2.0.x is not simple. I can provide a QEMU 2.0.x patch that is based on the accepted name and way it is used, but uses a global variable instead of a property on the machine object. I.E. a simple patch.
